Home and Equity is proud to have been one of the sponsors of the annual Barney’s Charity Golf Day 2021 took place on the 25th November at the Humewood Golf Club.
Through this charity event Barney’s Tavern was able to handover a record setting R100,000.00 to the Rotary Club of Port Elizabeth South.The money received from the fundraiser is a significant boost to Eastern Cape charities in need, who often greatly rely on the generosity of the public. The Rotary Club are deeply involved in a number of charities. The funds raised will go towards educational charities such as Hobbiton; a registered non-profit organisation for disadvantaged children, Ithemba Special Daycare Centre, Merryvale School for Specialised Education, Reuben Biren School for the Hard of Hearing, Early Childhood Development, Victoria Park High Interact, as well as the Adcock Old Age Home, and Clothing Guild.
Having begun in 2016, Barney’s Tavern has been holding this annual charity drive to celebrate their birthday with the aim to support different charities each year and it was great to be part of this charity day and give back to the community that we live in.
